Rocky Mountain Bride Regional V4 Magazine Feature
A few years ago- I was in Bozeman Montana looking around for event furniture for one of my up-coming events and I stumbled upon Rocky Mountain Bride. The cover of the magazine captivated me. The bride featured on the cover was in bright and colorful floral crown. This image is forever in my mind- especially the feature of a bride on a white horse galloping through the great outdoors.
I knew I'd found my niche in this magazine. I was also at the time - synching with the great outdoors heading up the events team at the Yellowstone Club. This place connected me with people from all over the world that appreciated the great beauty that no one can ever buy.
When this project came up - it was truly an honor to be able to get creative here in New Mexico and take it to a new level. I love taking the natural earth elements of where we are and what our clients love so much about this state.
It all started with a painting from Georgia O'Keefe. I studied & studied her work... How she took one simple object, place, or thing and put all her heart and soul into translating it's beauty with a paint brush. She wanted all to see what we tend to miss day in and day out. If we take the time to examine that one simple bloom - how incredible the details that reside within.
So, this is where is began. I sorted through many images - and the Abiqui painting by Georgia O'Keefe and began building the pieces for this photoshoot.
Delphinium is a flower that I really wanted to "pop" from the muted pampas grass and natural floral elements. It also worked nicely with the tile backdrop that we decided on for the ceremony backdrop at Palacio de Marquesa in Taos.
Here are some images from the published Magazine that hit all Barnes & Noble stores nationwide on December 10th, 2018.
